Fremont Elementary School, Home of the Bears
How would you like to spend your day in a helpful and especially fun box of knowledge? Although there are many schools in the Fremont district, Fremont Elementary School is the best to choose. To help you better understand my school, I will explain about our safe school, awesome students, and sweet staff.
Let’s explore our lovely elementary school. The school has been open for learning for 55 years, since 1963! Our school has 7 buses for transportation to go to and from Wetmore, Coal Creek, Florence, Rockvale, and Williamsburg. Another way to drop kids at school is through our, ‘Kiss and Go,’ drop off system or visitor parking in front of the school. The principals will greet your children nicely every morning. Our school also has a high level for behavior standards. Our standards are to always be SR2, that stands for Safe, Responsible, and Respectful. Here at FES, we BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world, Be The Good! No bullying is tolerated at the school. We are a drug free school. When your students follow the expectations they have a chance to win an award every month! Our school spirit is important to us, and our school mascot is the Bears!
Another aspect of our school is that we have the most kind and caring kids here in Bear Country. In total, 438 students attend our school. Fremont Elementary has grades from Kindergarten through Fifth grade. There are many activities your children can be involved in such as school clubs like Student Council, Destination Imagination, choir, After School Sports, Homework Club, and Battle of the Books. The school provides one to one iPads for grades K-5. The iPads are used for school tools only and are so fun to use.
Lastly, our amazing staff consists of 59 members including kind specials teachers, helpful classroom teachers, sweet office ladies, awesome principals, caring helpers, and attentive custodians. The teachers like to make learning fun for children. They are always sweet, kind, and helpful. At our school we are always being watched and kept safe. We have 4 drills that the children and staff practice including fire drills, lockdowns, lockouts, and tornado/bomb drills.
Even though there are many schools, Fremont Elementary is the best place to be. The things that make it the best are the staff, students, and school. FES is a slam dunk for learning!
